Another Haddon Township Car Crash And It Is Not Being Covered Up

Had Twp.jpg

It’s starting to look like alcohol and car wrecks are becoming a thing in Haddon Township.

Several residents sent us emails asking about an off-duty Haddon Township cop being involved in an accident. Some writers seemed to believe the township was trying to hide it.

The only reason this is news is because by now most reading this are aware of the saga of Paul Doherty, the Township Commissioner who also happens to be a prosecutor in multiple municipalities who drove into the back of a car and left the scene of the accident.

The Bob & Steve Show has learned the residents who sent us the above mentioned emails were correct that an off duty Haddon Township police officer was involved in a car accident in a neighboring town. One source said the officer’s female passenger was injured. A second source said the female passenger suffered a fractured pelvis, but the exact injury has not yet been confirmed. Both sources claim alcohol was involved, that the officer refused the breathalyzer and one source claims the officer is now in a 30-day rehabilitation program.

This story is developing and many questions are left unanswered. I sent an email to the mayor and he did respond with, “Steve: An accident is being investigated by the Camden County Prosecutor’s office. At this time, I am sorry but I cannot comment.”

Given that I have received that response from Mayor Randall Teague, I believe it is safe to say Haddon Township residents should be happy to know their mayor is not trying to cover anything up. Frankly, simply stating there is an investigation is about as transparent as the mayor can be. He deserves credit for saying more than the standard “we can’t comment” garbage.

So, to those who have been emailing us with the belief your government has been trying to cover something up. You’re wrong. The incident is under investigation.

Bar Brawling Deputy Mayor Sends A Letter To Voters

Jason Ravitz

Jason Ravitz

Bar brawling Voorhees Township Deputy Mayor Jason Ravitz has sent a letter to voters claiming to be a “happier, healthier, better person.”

Ravitz opens his letter talking about “certain incidents from the distant past.” What Ravitz doesn’t say in his letter is one of those “distant past” incidents happened this year. The other incident happened only 14 months ago. “Distant” is used to make it appear that Ravitz’s bar brawling is something from long ago. Congratulations to his campaign consultant for helping with the letter, all the right points have been hit.

Whether Ravitz and the campaign consultant who helped him write his letter want to admit it or not, two bar brawls in a five-month period is a pattern.

It appears Ravitz only discusses one of his bar brawls in his letter to voters because he writes, “While I may have been provoked by anti-Semitic and racist comments made against me and my friends…” which was an unproven issue in his first reported bar brawl incident, not the second.

I’m not arguing if anti-Semitic and racist comments were made in the first reported bar brawl, I’m asking what Ravitz’s excuse for fighting at Applebee’s was/is.

Never mind that it takes a special kind of person to get into a fight at Applebee’s. According to the police report Ravitz had been flagged by Applebee’s management and it was Ravitz who decided to inject himself into a family’s discussion. Please, don’ take my word on the police reports, they can be viewed by clicking here.

Then we get to my favorite part of the Ravitz letter. He goes for the sympathy home run writing, “While these attacks have had a tremendous impact and have taken their toll on my children…,” which might be the biggest line of BS in the letter. The only person to blame for the “toll” on his children is Ravitz. No one made him drink. No one made him show up at the Applebee’s in such a state that the manager flagged him after half a drink.

People may argue about the timing of the release of Ravitz’s bar brawl incidents, but they cannot argue these incidents are facts. Contrary to popular opinion, releasing facts is not negative campaigning. Elected officials, and those running to be elected officials, are held to a higher standard, and they should be because these are the people who control, or want to control, budgets of millions of dollars.

So, maybe Ravitz is a “happier, healthier, better person” but Voorhees voters have to ask if he’s a “happier, healthier, better person” than he was only 9 months ago. Does someone who was involved in two bar brawls, only 5 months apart become a “happier, healthier, better person” in less than a year? As a former drinker, I doubt it, but it’s up to Voorhees voters to decide.

PRESS RELEASE: NJGOP Chairman: Cloud Of Hypocritical Tolerance Follow's Murphy Everywhere He Goes

NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt isn’t letting Gov Phil Murphy get away with being a hypocrite. Following is an NJGOP press release issued this morning:

NJGOP Chairman: Cloud Of Hypocritical Tolerance Follow's Murphy Everywhere He Goes

Trenton, NJ -  It seems like every day there is a new revelation about a misstep in management under Governor Murphy.

Yesterday, we learned that an audit of the U.S. Embassy in Germany under then Ambassador Phil Murphy revealed that management wasn’t ‘proactive’ with more than 10 harassment claims.

A few days before that, we learned that the Murphy Administration allowed a sexual predator to stay on his campaign and state payrolls, until it was caught by the media.

With varying levels of severity, different scandals all point to a lack of leadership from Governor Murphy, and have flowed flowed into the public eye.

The Governor’s days at Goldman Sachs, is reportedly the subject of a federal class action lawsuit by female employees who claim a culture of sexism and misogyny at the company.

The management of his women's soccer team has come under fire, being compared to a "sweat shop" by the Star Ledger.

Governor Murphy called the illegal hire of a convicted bribe taker, "the new norm".

And Governor Murphy, the leader of the Democratic Party in New Jersey, still hasn’t denounced Burlington County Freeholder candidate George Youngkin, even after it was revealed that he assaulted his wife and harassed another woman.

In response, NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt released the following statement, "A cloud of controversy follows Phil Murphy wherever he goes. At this point, we're not seeing a series of coincidences, we're witnessing a failure of leadership. As a manager, Phil Murphy creates a culture of hypocritical tolerance. It's time for the legislature to step in and assess the damage with a bi-partisan investigation.”
