Where Are Those Menendez Loving Hypocrites Now? Is Ignoring Sexually Inappropriate Behavior The New Normal For New Jersey’s Democrats?

hypocrisy.jpg

Remember those 88 women who signed a letter bashing all male eating clubs? Or that time Hudson County Democratic Organization Chairwoman Amy DeGise claimed Bob Menendez’s record has always defended women?

All of these women, in their hypocritical support of Bob Menendez, claimed to have issues with sexual misconduct toward women. Every single one of these women chose to ignore the fact Menendez’s own lawyers conceded the fact that Menendez worked to secure visas for young women to come into the country to visit with his pal Salomon Melgen.

Of course my friends on the left side of the aisle will argue Menendez never laid a finger on these women so he did nothing wrong, and that argument would be a bunch of BS. No matter what way you look at it, when a man 30 years older, maybe 40 years older, than young women plays sugar daddy to those young women there is something inappropriate going on. By helping get those women into the country, Menendez, at the very least, provided the conditions for Melgen to act in a manner that was sexually inappropriate.

Fast forward to the recent news of the sudden resignation of Governor Phil Murphy’s staffer Albert Alvarez, a guy who allegedly committed a sexual assault, rape to be specific, of a campaign volunteer in April 2017. I refuse to type the woman’s name in this post because I don’t think it’s fair to continue plastering her name all over the internet. Alvarez was able to stay in his $140,000 job after it was known there was an investigation into the alleged sexual assault.

Republicans have been calling for investigations into this matter. Those 88 women who signed a letter bashing all male eating clubs? Not a peep! Where are they? Where is Hudson County Democratic Organization Chairwoman Amy DeGise? Maybe they are all busy getting ready to spend between $500 - $5,400 to see Hillary Clinton suck up to Bob Menendez tonight.

It does make sense that Clinton would come to New Jersey to stump for Menendez. Clinton did just say, her husband, President Bill Clinton’s affair with Monica Lewinsky wasn’t an abuse of power because she was a 22-year-old adult. To me, that statement means Mrs. Clinton thinks that Bob Menendez helping bring young women into the country for Salomon Melgen to play sugar daddy is perfectly acceptable.

It’s time for all these women “leaders” to step up and stop being hypocrites. If Phil Murphy, Bob Menendez or Albert Alvarez were Republicans they would all be making a lot of noise over Alvarez’s alleged sexually inappropriate behavior and Murphy and Menendez providing the conditions for men to engage in sexually inappropriate behavior. They would be angry over Hillary Clinton’s statement regarding Monica Lewinsky.

The actions, or lack of action, from these women “leaders” gives the appearance they only care about sexually inappropriate behavior when the actor is a Republican. It’s a disgusting double standard that causes me to ask, is accepting sexually inappropriate behavior the new normal for New Jersey’s Democrats?

The only question left is how many of these women “leaders” will be there to see Hillary Clinton this evening?

PRESS RELEASE: NJGOP Chairman Steinhardt "Murphy Is Prioritizing Foreign Travel Over Justice For Brennan And Cleaning Up His Administration"

Press Release.jpg

NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt is questioning Governor Phil Murphy’s priorities. Folowing is a press release from NJGOP:

NJGOP Chairman - Murphy Is Prioritizing Foreign Travel Over Justice For Brennan And Cleaning Up His Administration

Trenton, NJ - As a candidate for Governor, Phil Murphy vowed to "fight to stop sexual harassment and assault".

But, over the weekend, the Wall Street Journal reported on Governor Phil Murphy's administration employing for months a known sexual predator. The victim’s cries for help and justice went unanswered by the Governor and his top staff.

At 12:30 today Governor Murphy will hold a press conference to preview his economic trip to Germany and Israel.

NJGOP Chairman Steinhardt questioned Governor Murphy's priorities, "How the Governor could be focused on his travels rather than justice for Katie Brennan and cleaning up his administration is exactly how we arrived at this point and why it will never change in a Murphy Administration. While it might be the Governor's “new norm” to overlook illegal actors, bribe takers, and sexual predators, it cannot be ours.  New Jersey will never shelter people like Al Alvarez, regardless of how close they are to people of power, even Phil and Tammy Murphy. We call again on Steve Sweeney and Craig Coughlin to stop playing politics with Ms. Brennan’s story and conduct an independent investigation into the treatment of sexual harassment within the Murphy Administration."

Steinhardt continued, "Katie Brennan may not have found justice from the Hudson County Prosecutor, Governor Murphy, his wife, or any of their senior staff, but independent legislative hearings could finally break Phil Murphy's pattern of protecting predators, a pattern that seems to transcend his offices, titles and time. It’s up to the legislature to ask whether a former Wolf of Wall Street is now the current Wolf of State Street."

PRESS RELEASE: Cumberland GOP Candidates Call Out Dems Over Misleading Ad

Press Release.jpg

Today, via press release, Republican candidate for Cumberland County Surrogate Kim Codispoti and Freeholder candidates, Arvene Kilby Hays and Frank Spatola, Jr, called-out the Cumberland County Democrats over a misleading campaign ad. Their press release follows:

Cumberland GOP Candidates Call Out Democrats Over Misleading Ad

Democrats had their chances and failed. It’s time for new leadership

VINELAND – Republican candidate for Cumberland County Surrogate Kim Codispoti and Freeholder candidates, Arvene Kilby Hays and Frank Spatola, Jr, called a new commercial for the Cumberland County Democrats is misleading.

According to the 30 second spot, posted on the Cumberland County Democrats Facebook page, Joe Derella, Jim Quinn and Doug Rainear are all things, to all people.

“Watching that ad one would think the Surrogate is out filling potholes. You’d have better luck with Domino’s ‘Paving for Pizza’ program,” Kim Codispoti said. “Obviously, that will never happen, Doug Rainear couldn’t get the roads paved when he was a freeholder and it’s not his job as Surrogate. It’s time for a new County Surrogate, with new ideas that will make it easier for those needing the Surrogate’s services to be served.”

Arvene Kilby Hays added, “To brag about creating hundreds of new jobs in a commercial is a stretch. The truth is anyone driving through the county and seeing all the boarded-up businesses knows that under control of the Democrats Cumberland County has seen a net loss of jobs.”

“They talk about improving county services and a commitment to our youth in this ad,” Frank Spatola, Jr. said. “We agree, we must be committed to our youth and a great place to start would be the development of a county parks system, something that will benefit all the residents of Cumberland County. As to improving services, the Democrats had their chances and failed. Electing Kim Codispoti Surrogate, Arvene Kilby Hays and I as freeholders will lead to an immediate improvement.”
