CD2 candidate Republican Brian Fitzherbert announced another endorsement today. His press release follows:

Egg Harbor Township –Brian T. Fitzherbert, who is seeking the Republican nomination in New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional District, announced the endorsement of Young Republican Federation of New Jersey Chair, Joe Sarno.

Sarno expressed his support saying, “It is my pleasure to endorse Brian Fitzherbert for Congress in New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional District. While he was Chairman of the Atlantic County Young Republicans, I saw first-hand Brian's relentless commitment to building our party from the grassroots level. Furthermore, his principled support of our Constitution and his unwavering dedication to South Jersey make him an easy choice to back. Brian is the best Republican to take on Nancy Pelosi ally Jeff Van Drew in 2020.”

“I am proud to receive the endorsement of Joe Sarno. Joe is a prominent Republican leader with deep South Jersey roots. As a former Councilman he knows the importance of fighting for taxpayers and making New Jersey a place where people can afford to live and stay. Joe’s work galvanizing the Young Republican Federation in the state is truly impressive and I look forward to him joining me on the campaign trail as we fight to win back the House of Representatives in 2020,” said Fitzherbert.

Silent Bob’s Campaign Not-So-Silent Anymore; Our Debate Offer Still Stands

Bob Andrzejczak & Michael Testa

Bob Andrzejczak & Michael Testa

New Jersey Globe is out with the news this morning that temporary state Senator Silent Bob Andrzejczak has ended his silence on the issue of Republican candidate for state Senate Michael Testa’s debate challenge.

Today, by our count, is the 176th day since that challenge was issued. While the Andrzejczak campaign has finally responded to Testa we still do not know if there will be a debate.

The response was strong, with some unkind words for Testa and referring to Testa’s chosen debate moderator – a really nice guy on another radio station – as a “partisan hack.”

According to New Jersey Globe, the Andrzejczak campaign claims Testa, “turned down a real debate opportunity sponsored by the League of Women Voters, the most reputable debate moderators in the state.”

Frankly, calling the League of Women Voters “the most reputable debate moderators” is a load of garbage. For years I have advised my clients (in several states) against participating in debates hosted by that organization because of their left leanings.

So, here’s where we stand. Apparently, Andrzejczak will not debate Testa at Testa’s chosen venue and Testa will not debate Andrzejczak at an event organized by the “non-partisan,” but really left-leaning, League of Women Voters. Stalemate!

Here, at the Bob & Steve Show, our offer to host a debate with two Democrats of Andrzejczak’s choosing as our co-moderators live on the air still stands. That’s four partisan hacks equally divided hosting the debate. Andrzejczak nor Testa will find an offer more fair. Plus, unlike those shore radio stations, WVLT doesn’t broadcast out to the fishes, meaning more voters will hear the debate.

Andrzejczak knows more voters hear our station, that’s why he’s appeared on two other shows, hosted by (supposedly) Republicans, on WVLT. Testa’s been on our show and others.

What do ya say guys? Will there be a debate?

PRESS RELEASE: You Said You Were Leaders; Now Lead

Press Release.jpg

Camden County Republican Chairman Rich Ambrosino called out “South Jersey women leaders” today. The CCGOP press release follows:

HADDON HEIGHTS – Camden County Republican Chairman Rich Ambrosino said it’s time for the same “South Jersey women leaders” who “denounced” former U.S. Senate candidate Bob Hugin “for staying silent as allegations of sexual assault” were made against then Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh break their silence over disgraced former Assemblyman Arthur Barclay landing a new county job.

“Assemblywomen Pam Lampitt and Pat Egan Jones and Freeholders Carmen Rodriguez and Susan Shin-Angulo were eager to complain about Justice Kavanaugh and President Trump over allegations. Now, when we find out one of their own, Arthur Barclay, got a new county job after admitting to punching a woman they sit silent,” CCGOP Chairman Rich Ambrosino said. “Apparently, outrage only exists at allegations against Republicans and not admitted facts when it comes to one of their fellow machine Democrats.”

“Lampitt, Egan Jones, Rodriguez and Shin-Angulo claimed to be ‘South Jersey women leaders’ with the fake outrage they directed at Bob Hugin a year ago. Now, with an opportunity to actually lead they sit silent,” Ambrosino remarked.

Ambrosino continued, “It’s disappointing that, after calling themselves ‘leaders,’ Lampitt and Rodriguez, both up for re-election, have remained silent about a confessed girlfriend beater getting a new job in county government. I’m especially disheartened that Shin-Angulo is silent on the issue because she’s now running for mayor in Cherry Hill, the community in which I live.”

“As freeholders, Rodriguez and Shin-Angulo, take part in personnel decisions.” Ambrosino added, “It’s time for them to tell voters and county taxpayers why they are okay with a man who admitted to punching his girlfriend getting a new position in county government.”

“Barclay punched his girlfriend, then resigned from the Assembly for ‘health reasons.’” These are facts, not just allegations,” Ambrosino said, “Despite the punching and the health issue, Barclay was transferred to a new job. It’s time for these self-proclaimed leaders to lead, especially Freeholders Rodriguez and Shin-Angulo who can start by explaining the part they took in the decision to transfer Barclay to a new job. Assemblywomen Lampitt and Egan Jones and Freeholders Rodriguez and Shin-Angulo can show some leadership and join me in calling for Barclay to be fired from county government, because no man willing to punch a woman should be working for this county’s government.”
