NJGOP Chairman Calls On Kim To Take Down Ad

Trenton, NJ - Earlier today, independent fact checkers at the Washington Post determined that Andy Kim's latest campaign ad includes false claims about Kim's resume. 

The Washington Post reported that Andy Kim engaged in “a classic case of resume puffery”, oversold “his bipartisan credentials”, and stretched “his resume to elastic extremes”.

This is not the first time Andy Kim has been caught lying on the campaign trail. Earlier this year, Kim embellished his resume when he claimed to have served as a “strategic advisor” to Generals David Petraeus and John Allen in Afghanistan back in early 2011 but, later in 2011, confessed to being a simple “Notetaker.”

Kim was forced to change the language on his website after the truth regarding his position was revealed.

"Once again, Andy Kim was caught red handed trying to fool voters in South Jersey. Integrity dictates that he pull his ad from the air immediately and replace it with an apology," said NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt. "If Kim isn't comfortable running on his true, professional experiences, then perhaps he’s figured out for himself that he’s not qualified to serve in Congress."

He Has An Anti-Law Enforcement History; Stop With The Jeff Van Drew Is A Conservative Garbage

Only in New Jersey could a guy who has a history of NOT supporting police be called a conservative. And, that is an argument by some Republicans who don’t want to support Seth Grossman for Congress. These people say something along the lines of, “Well, Jeff Van Drew isn’t so bad, he’s really a conservative.”

The problem is Van Drew’s not a conservative. He’s definitely not a friend of law enforcement.

Remember, Jeff Van Drew was okay with the former assemblyman from his district, Nelson Albano, trying to ruin the career of a state trooper. Not only was Van Drew okay with Albano trying to ruin a trooper’s career, he went on a popular South Jersey talk radio show and said the situation that became known as “Troopergate,” was “much ado about nothing.”

To add insult to injury Jeff Van Drew is a supporter of New Jersey’s horrible bail reform. It didn’t matter that law enforcement was against bail reform, Jeff Van Drew admitted, “I voted for this reform because I thought it was the right thing to do, but we have to make sure it is working in a way that keeps the most dangerous offenders off the streets before trial.”

Bail reform never worked “in a way that keeps the most dangerous offenders off the streets before trial,” and Van Drew didn’t lift a finger to “make sure” it was working. Van Drew did exactly the opposite and, in late 2017, voted in support of Senate Bill 2850 to throw over $9 million dollars away to continue New Jersey’s failed bail reform.

But that’s okay, keep kidding yourselves and believing Van Drew is conservative, and remember next time you read about some dirt bag who should be in jail committing a crime, it’s your fault for continuing to be supportive of Van Drew.

Hudson Democratic Party Chair Claims Bob Menendez “Has Always Defended Women.”

Here we go again, another New Jersey Democrat has joined the ranks of the Menendez loving hypocrites. This time it was the new Hudson County Democratic Organization Chairwoman Amy DeGise.

According to the Jersey Journal, “Re-electing Menendez to a third full term is priority No. 1, she said.”

The Jersey Journal piece goes on:

"If people want to take a narrative that's been put out there recently that's going to diminish his character, you don't really understand the full candidate himself and what he's stood up for himself," she said. "His record has always been strong.

His record has always defended women. His record, before it was trendy, spoke out for people of color and minorities. That's what we should be focusing on."

I’m still laughing at “His record has always defended women.” Maybe DeGise forgot that Menendez’s own lawyers conceded the fact that Bob Menendez helped bring Salomen Melgen’s girlfriends into the country.

Helping to secure visas for young women to come into the country to visit their Sugar Daddy is not defending women. It’s the opposite.

So, I did what DeGise said and focused on Menendez’s record and my finding is her statement is false. Bob Menendez has not always defended women. Congratulations chairwoman, you are now a member of the Menendez Loving Hypocrites.
