PRESS RELEASE: Ambrosino Cleans House, Disavows A Now-Former GOP Club President

Remember that time Camden County Republican Chairman Rich Ambrosino had to disavow a flawed freeholder candidate? Well, he’s disavowed another undesirable Republican. Ambrosino’s press release on the matter follows:

Camden County Republican Chairman Rich Ambrosino today asked county Republicans to ignore a Facebook page using the name “Barrington NJ Republicans OFFICIAL.”

“Admittedly we accepted someone without first vetting him. It’s a mistake we will not make again,” Rich Ambrosino said. “Since becoming chairman I’ve said on multiple occasions that we better do a good job policing ourselves, generally speaking we’ve done a good job doing so. Only a year ago we disavowed a freeholder candidate and now must do the same with Nick Peronace.”

Ambrosino continued, “Unfortunately, it came to our attention Peronace, who still claims to be the president of the Barrington Republican Club, has a history of posting homophobic and racist statements online. There is also at least one YouTube video of him making a harassing phone call to a woman. None of this will be tolerated!

“My intention is not to embarrass Peronace, but I’ve complained about the lack of transparency from the county Democrats in dealing with those they’ve taken actions against. Not denouncing and disavowing Peronace publicly would be hypocritical.”

“The Barrington GOP is rebuilding, without Peronace.” Ambrosino said, “We have excellent candidates running write-in campaigns to ensure voters have a choice in Barrington come November. The candidates include Steve Teti running for the unexpired term. Some will remember Teti’s father served on council. Former two-term councilman Bob DelVecchio, who left the Democrats after they gave him grief for voting against their tax increases, is now a Republican running for a full-term with Shannon Kelly. All three are well-known, active and respected members of the community and I refuse to let a guy like Peronace bring them down.”

PRESS RELEASE: Chairman Ambrosino: “Singh says he’ll accept an apology, here’s mine.”

Press Release.jpg

This morning we shared a press release on our Facebook page in which Republican US Senate Hirsh Singh asks the county chairs who called on him to get out of the race for an apology. Apparently, Camden County GOP Chairman Rich Ambrosino read that release and offered and apology via press release. Ambrosino’s release follows:

Upon learning US Senate candidate Hirsh Singh wants an apology from the county chairs calling on him to suspend his campaign Camden County Republican Chairman Rich Ambrosino said, “Singh says he’ll accept our apology, here’s mine. I’m sorry Hirsh Singh takes his political advice from a washed-up, unemployed actor.”

“I’m tired of the reckless behavior of the Singh campaign!” Rich Ambrosino said, “When Singh ran for Congress he won the endorsement of CCGOP, he didn’t call the selection process rigged then. What’s different? He now takes advice from an out-of-work actor who has dreams of grandeur.”

“Accusing county parties of rigging their endorsement process didn’t win Singh many friends.” Ambrosino explained, “Accusing a former governor and one of his opponents of being opiate peddlers was moronic. Topping that off by sending a letter encouraging folks to vote twice and including an endorsement that was rescinded in the same mailing was a stupid lie and the straw that broke the camel’s back.”

Ambrosino continued, “The fact the Singh campaign continues to defend the idea of encouraging voters to re-vote shows how delusional he has become. It’s as if Singh went to a GOTV training run by Craig Callaway.”

“His ridiculous conspiracy theories, ludicrous campaign pronouncements, lack of political ability and knowledge of election law have damned Hirsh Singh’s political aspirations,” Ambrosino said. “Perhaps if Singh ever moved out of his parent’s house and learned how the real world works he wouldn’t be seeking the approval of an unemployed actor and things would be different. Yes, I’m sorry. I’m sorry that Hirsh Singh has allowed himself to become an embarrassment to our party.”

PRESS RELEASE: Multiple County Chairs Call On Hirsh Singh To Immediately Suspend His Campaign

Press Release.jpg

It appears this week is starting off just as bad as last week did for former beauty pageant winner and candidate for US Senate Hirsh Singh. Seven more Republican county chairs from across the state have called on Singh to drop his bid for US Senate. Their press release follows:

Last week multiple Republican county chairs condemned US Senate candidate Hirsh Singh after a mailer that encouraged registered Republicans to commit voter fraud was sent by his campaign. Today Camden County Chairman Rich Ambrosino, Essex County Chairman Al Barlas, Middlesex County Chairwoman Lucille Panos, Union County Chairman Glenn Mortimer, Gloucester County Chairwoman Jacci Vigilante, Hunterdon County Chairman Pat Torpey and Burlington County Chairman Sean Earlen issued the following statement:

“Given the fact that for two days after multiple county chairs called on Hirsh Singh to ‘immediately cease all attempts at confusing voters’ his mailer continued to land in mailboxes. Since Singh and his supporters continue to defend the misleading mailer on social media it is obvious he has no intention of stopping his reckless behavior. It is our duty, as elected Republican party leaders, to put a stop to that reckless behavior.

“We agree with what NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt said on May 15, ‘voter fraud anywhere is a threat to our election’s legitimacy everywhere.’ As such, if we, as a party, are going to call out potential voter fraud on the Democrat side of the aisle we better do a damn good job at policing ourselves.

“Being a county chair isn’t always easy. This past Friday Salem County Chairwoman Linda DuBois made the tough choice to call on Hirsh Singh to suspend his campaign. Unfortunately, because encouraging voter fraud is an inexcusable offense by any candidate and Hirsh Singh continues to defend his reckless behavior he has forced us to make a difficult decision. We join Salem County Chairwoman Linda DuBois in calling on Singh to immediately suspend his campaign. We are hopeful other chairs will join us.”
