100 Grand Buys A Lot Of Condoms; Patterson’s Big Shot Out Of The Gate

Money_413881.jpg

I thought about maybe a headline along the lines of “Patterson’s money shot” simply because my sometimes juvenile sense of humor won’t let me forget that CD2 congressional candidate Robert “Bob” Patterson once wrote that “semen-exposed women have better cognitive skills” and that “condom use deprives women of the remarkable chemicals in semen.”

It’s a shame because Patterson, when you meet him, is a likable guy, a bit of a close talker, but a nice guy. Unfortunately, some of his old writings are good for laugh lines to easy to pass on.

That said, once you get past the laugh lines, Patterson has earned a little respect by shockingly raising slightly more than $100,000 in his first fundraising quarter. I honestly didn’t think he had it in him.

Patterson’s respectful 100k means he is no longer an afterthought in next year’s CD2 primary.

And, let’s not forget we do have a new frontrunner in next year’s CD2 primary. David Richter, after posting more than $400,000 this quarter, raised and self-funded, has been attacked as “hoity-toity” by the fancy suit wearing hoity-toity Congressman Jeff Van Drew.

I previously wrote in this blog that “in politics money can buy love and catapults your campaign to frontrunner status,” add to that being the only candidate attacked by Van Drew and there is no doubt Richter has assumed the role of frontrunner ahead of the CD2 primary.

The only question left in CD2, at least for now, is how Brian Fitzherbert responds to his primary election opponents. We know Fitzherbert can build a strong organization, now we’ll see if it converts to fundraising in the fourth quarter.

Note: While Bob has endorsed Brian Fitzherbert for next year’s CD2 primary, Steve is completely neutral and making no endorsement

PRESS RELEASE: 20 Reasons New Jersey Is Weaker And Poorer Under Phil Murphy 20 Reasons To Vote Republican In The 2019 Murphy Mid-Terms 20 Days Until Election Day

Press Release.jpg

This could be fun! It appears NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt is going to bash NJ Democrats for 20 straight days. Kind of reminds me of the time I invented “NACO-gate” for my radio show co-host former Cumberland GOP Chairman Bob Greco. It’s just another reason to like Steinhardt. The Chairman’s press release follows:

Trenton, NJ - The NJGOP is counting down the last 20 days before Election Day in the  2019 Murphy Mid-Terms with 20 reasons New Jersey is weaker and poorer under Governor Phil Murphy and 20 reasons to vote Republican on November 5th.

Reason #20: New Jersey Has The Worst Foreclosure Rate In The U.S.

Comment from NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt:

"Phil Murphy and Democrats have had full control of the state house for 2 years now. Their liberal agenda has produced the highest foreclosure rate in the country. New Jersey is too expensive, and Phil Murphy, who said “If ... tax rate is your issue ... we’re probably not your state,” is too aloof, for hard working families to afford their homes. This is the danger of one-party rule in Trenton."

Guy Backed By South Jersey’s Political Boss Accuses Testa Of Being A Political Boss

Bob Andrzejczak

Bob Andrzejczak

Temporary state Senator Bob Andrzejczak’s campaign is lying again. First, it was Andrzejczak’s campaign spokesman making the false claim that Michael Testa turned down a debate proposal. The League of Women Voters had to clarify that neither State Sen. Bob Andrzejczak nor Cumberland County GOP chairman Michael Testa had “officially declined” to appear at a debate. The two are scheduled to debate on October 28.

Now, in a TV ad the Andrzejczak campaign calls Testa “one of South Jersey’s biggest political bosses.”

Calling Testa a “political boss” is enough to have Frank Hague and Nucky Johnson laughing from their graves.

In what world is Testa “one of South Jersey’s biggest political bosses?” There is one “political boss” in South Jersey – George Norcross. Don’t take my word for it. The Press of Atlantic City clearly knows there is only one boss in South Jersey recently writing:

“A recent mailer put out by General Majority PAC, which is linked to South Jersey political boss George Norcross…”

The paper called George Norcross “South Jersey political boss.” It didn’t call Testa a political boss.

Need more proof? According to Wikipedia, Category: American political bosses from New Jersey there are only eight political bosses listed from our state and only one in South Jersey is still alive: George Norcross.

I’m not sure why the Andrzejczak campaign insists on lying about Testa. Maybe it’s because he knows he is the one controlled by an actual political boss.
