Congressional candidate Brian Fitzherbert announced the endorsement of Woolwich Mayor Sam Maccarone today. Fitzherbert’s press release follows:

Egg Harbor Township –Brian T. Fitzherbert, who is seeking the Republican nomination in New Jersey’s Second Congressional District, announced the endorsement of former Woolwich Mayor Sam Maccarone.

Maccarone stated his support saying, “South Jersey needs new leadership and not a career politician. Brian is a conservative leader with a tremendous amount of energy. Brian wants to grow South Jersey’s economy as he understands the daily grind of hardworking families who want a better life for themselves, their children, and their grandchildren. We need someone who will fight for South Jersey in Washington D.C. and that’s why I’m honored to endorse Brian Fitzherbert for Congress."

“I’m proud to have the endorsement of Mayor Maccarone and I thank him for his service to South Jersey as a public servant. Gloucester County needs a representative who will fight to grow the South Jersey economy, secure our boarders, and support our military and veterans,” Fitzherbert said.

PRESS RELEASES: NJGOP Chairman Steinhardt's Statement On Murphy's Fire Arm Executive Order

NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt issued a response to Governor Phil Murphy’s attack on the Second Amendment. His press release follows:

Trenton, NJ - Today, Governor Murphy signed an Executive Order attacking the Second Amendment. NJGOP Chairman released the following statement in response:

“Like most sensible New Jerseyans, the NJGOP also supports common sense gun laws, but once again Governor Murphy shows his inability to take aim at gun crime and instead continues his practice of targeting legal gun owners.

"Today’s Executive Order is big on bravado and short on substance. It creates the same false sense of security that the rest of his political pandering creates.

“On behalf of the NJGOP, I call on Governor Murphy to do something meaningful to combat gun crime and stop criminalizing gun owners, manufacturers and retailers.”

CD2 Action: Fitzherbert Gets 2 More Endorsements

Brian Fitzherbert

Brian Fitzherbert

Yesterday I wrote that GOP congressional candidate in CD2 Brian Fitzherbert has been announcing endorsements at about once each week. Well, this morning he announced two more endorsements; Hamilton Township Committeewoman Maryetta Borkowski and Absecon Committeeman Greg Seher.

Both, Borkowski and Seher, are county committee members in Atlantic County and both have worked with Fitzherbert in his former role building the Atlantic County Young Republicans organization.

Fitzherbert has announced several endorsements from county committee members throughout the district. This may be a strategy to watch, especially when we get closer to county conventions.

The CD2 primary election field is already somewhat crowded. Others in the race include David Richter who announced three endorsements yesterday. Bob Patterson, despite his sticky issue with robbing women of the “remarkable” chemicals in semen, is still in the race and actively campaigning. Seth Grossman is still a rumored candidate and we’re waiting to hear if Brian Glackin, aka “new Brian” is getting into the race.

Stay tuned!

Note: While Bob has endorsed Brian Fitzherbert for next year’s CD2 primary, Steve is completely neutral and making no endorsement.
