Democrats Gone Wild; The Real Ravitz

Jason Ravitz

Jason Ravitz

Kudos to the New Jersey Globe for breaking the story of Voorhees Deputy Mayor Jason Ravitz being involved in a bar fight.

This is the latest incident of Democrats gone wild in Camden County, it’s the third time we’ve learned of an incident involving law enforcement and elected Democrats in the county. First, was former Assemblyman Arthur Barclay, then Haddon Township Commissioner Paul Dougherty and now we learn that last year Ravitz had a run in with law enforcement.

Fortunately for Ravitz no charges were filed against him by police. I can say with confidence if I had acted like Ravitz did with the police I would have been wearing matching bracelets.

The problem with police not filing charges is that Ravitz obviously feels no need to take responsibility for his actions. According to the New Jersey Globe:

He said that the emergence of the videos in September was designed by his opponents.  Democrats have a 4-1 majority on the Township Committee, with two Democratic seats up this year.

“This is a perfectly timed political hit job to affect my campaign,” Ravitz said.

Of course, it’s “a perfectly timed political hit job to affect” his campaign. There’s even a website, “The Real Ravitz,” (http://therealravitz.com/) paid for by the Camden County Republicans. The website has some interesting video that is worth the watch.

Now that “The Real Ravitz” is public the big question left to ask is how will Ravitz react? Will he do like Haddon Township’s Dougherty and go into hiding. Will Voorhees residents do like those in Haddon Township and start show up at the next council meeting and ask questions? Will residents vote Ravitz out? He’s obviously not really deputy mayor material.

Haddon Township Commissioner Paul Dougherty Is Quite The Dancer

Paul Dougherty

Paul Dougherty

Paul Dougherty, the Haddon Township commissioner who has skipped public meetings since he was involved in a traffic accident is quite the dancer.

The Bob & Steve Show has obtained cell phone video of what appears to be Commissioner Dougherty dancing in front of the stage at an event held at Crystal Lake Pool the evening of the accident. The importance of this 9 second video surfacing is that it provides proof Dougherty was at the event at which it is alleged people saw him drinking.

There you have it. One more piece of the Dougherty puzzle in Haddon Township.

Controversy In Delran Continues: Another Clip From The Delran Tapes

Old-Reel-to-reel-Recorder-With-252811189.jpg

Last night Delran held a work session meeting. At the meeting Republican council candidate Anthony Ogozalek mentioned that the Councilman “Gary Catrambone allegations came out” and asked council if they were going to investigate. To refresh your memory, rumors in Delran are that Catrambone forged Schwartz’s signature on a nominating petition.

The question can be heard at about the 1:26 mark in the following YouTube video.

Seeing that video made me go back to the roughly one hour of audio that was dumped in my lap. While I do find it somewhat fascinating that there are at least two (maybe more) current or former members of Delran’s governing body with digital recorders in their pockets, I believe the following audio clip could help with any investigation.

In the clip, former Councilman Mike Schwartz says, “Lona said something in 2016…he never told me he did it and I never pushed the issue,” after being asked, “When did you know that he did it for you?” I’m assuming “Lona” is former councilwoman Lona Pangia and “he” is Catrambone.

Also, heard on the clip is Schwartz saying, “It is what it is, if he did something wrong, he did something wrong.”

Where I come from, “It is what it is” usually means the “it” happened. They are the exact same words former Assemblyman Arthur Barclay used after his arrest for domestic violence became public.

Obviously, folks in Delran are paying attention because we’ve received several emails with a link to the following YouTube video. About half way through the video Mayor Ken Paris puts what one can assume are the possibly forged documents in front of Catrambone and asks a series of questions.

That video was posted in April of this year. That means folks in Delran have been talking about a possibly forged document for at least six months. One would think there would be some sort of investigation by now. Until an actual investigation is launched, I’ll keep trying to get to the bottom of this situation. I’m working on getting phone numbers for all the players and will try to get comment from all of them in the coming days.
