Former Governor Chris Christie

The Rowan Institute for Public Policy & Citizenship is hosting former Governor Chris Christie on October 18, 2018 at the Enyon Ballroom in the Chamberlain Student Center at Rowan University in Glassboro.

The topic: Governor Chris Christie on The Future of the Republican Party

Sources tell us invitations will be emailed as well as sent through U.S. Mail. We’ll update you as more details become available.

Until then, I would like to extend my personal congratulations to the governor for coming to South Jersey for a reason other than to support Democrats in Camden County.

CD2: Grossman Comes With First TV Ad

Grossman HS.jpg

The race for congress between Seth Grossman and Jeff Van Drew is heating up. Grossman is out with his first TV ad. It’s a good ad that shows Van Drew is not the conservative some Republicans mistakenly believe he is by explaining how state Senate President Steve Sweeney and Van Drew arrived in Trenton at the same time and destroyed New Jersey’s economy.

Watch for the ad on cable TV and see it here:

 The Grossman campaign press release announcing the ad:

 GROSSMAN ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF TV CAMPAIGN

Somers Point, NJ, September 25, 2018 – Republican Congressional candidate Seth Grossman’s campaign announced Tuesday the launch of its series of TV ads that will run until the election.  They speak to the differences between Seth and his opponent, Jeff Van Drew.

The first ad addresses the enabling relationship between NJ Senate President Steve Sweeney and Van Drew.  They both came to Trenton 16 years ago – and what have they done?

  • ·       Spending through the roof;

  • ·       Taxes soaring;

  • ·       Debt out of control; and

  • ·       New Jersey’s economy destroyed.

 Now Sweeney wants Van Drew in Washington to do to America what they have done to New Jersey.  The ad message – Stop them!

For the past 16 years, Van Drew made a career in NJ politics serving Democrat bosses and special interests.  He was part of the Democratic majority led by Sweeney which has dominated state government even under Republican Governor Chris Christie.  Grossman cites that these years were a disaster.

Grossman is fighting for the people, putting taxpayers first, and supports President Trump’s “Make America Great Again” agenda.  He plans to work in Washington to continue the success of the past 20 months.

Grossman and Van Drew are facing off in New Jersey’s 2nd Congressional District. The seat, which has been represented by retiring Rep. Frank LoBiondo for 24 years, includes the counties of Cape May, Atlantic, Cumberland, Salem, Gloucester and parts of Camden, Burlington and Ocean counties. Donald Trump won the district by five points over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election.

SOURCES: Haddon Township Commissioner Paul Dougherty A No Show Again

Haddon Township Commissioner Paul Dougherty

Haddon Township Commissioner Paul Dougherty

Where’s Paul Dougherty?

Multiple sources have confirmed to The Bob & Steve Show that Haddon Township Commissioner Paul Dougherty was a no show at tonight’s commissioners meeting.

You may recall Dougherty is the Haddon Township Commissioner with multiple municipal prosecutor positions who drove his car into the back of another car, left the scene, called the police chief and tried to blame his wife, and then admitted he was driving when police arrived at his house missed last night’s caucus meeting in Haddon Township.

There were rumors Dougherty was going to resign as a commissioner this evening, it didn’t happen.

This is the third meeting at which Township business is done that Dougherty has missed since the time of the traffic incident. When he missed the first commissioners meeting the crowd at the meeting was informed Dougherty was on vacation, there was no reason given when he missed the caucus meeting last week. Tonight’s meeting is the third straight meeting missed by the Dougherty.

Is Dougherty simply hiding from Township residents? Is he on a long vacation?

Maybe he’s in training to be a crash test dummy.

The taxpayers of Haddon Township deserve to know why he’s missing these meetings. We’ll dig deeper and try to find out.
