Apparently, Others Are Upset With The Partisanship Being Displayed In Non-Partisan Haddonfield

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

I received an email from “Defend Haddonfield!” a group I never heard of. Mostly, I think they wanted me to know they are not fans of Haddonfield Commissioner Colleen Bezich. I’m guessing they reached out probably because they read this morning’s Bob & Steve Show blog post.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Apparently, the folks over at Defend Haddonfield! issued a press release calling on Bezich to resign.

I decided to check out Defend Haddonfield!’s website. I have to admit I do not like the fact there is no paid for disclaimer on the website. It makes them appear shady. But, it’s like a train wreck, you know it’s going to be ugly but you have to look. So, I looked.

It appears this group sent a mailer (click here to view), the kind of mailer that makes political operatives with reputations for running nasty campaigns, like me, proud. Well, except for the part that mentions Bezich’s father, as listeners of the radio show know I believe family should be left out of campaigns unless said family member injects themself. Anyway, while sensationalized, the mailer appears to be truthful. The organization footnoted everything to back up their claims. And, it is 100% true that after Bezich won the special election to get on the Boro Commission the Camden County Democrats did offer praise for Bezich.

Apparently, Bezich did not like the Defend Haddonfield! mailer because, as I learned from their website, she cut a Facebook video to call the mailer “lies.” The fact that she wears a mask, outside, in her own backyard, shows me she’s the type of “woke” politician I wouldn’t vote for, so I’m not even going to bother arguing about what is or isn’t true. Besides, as I was considering looking at what is true and isn’t, I checked the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC) website and she did indeed accept money from folks connected to George Norcross in her 2019 campaign. So, at least that part of the mailer is true!

So, I guess all that’s left to say is exactly what I said in this morning’s blog post: “It’s your choice Haddonfield, let South Jersey’s political machine be part of your government or throw the machine out.” Go to the polls tomorrow and do the right thing!
