Republican candidate for Congress in CD1, Claire Gustafson, was endorsed by Camden County’s last Republican Freeholder Director today. Her press release follows:

COLLINGSWOOD – Republican congressional candidate in CD1, Claire Gustafson, announced today that she has earned the endorsement of Camden County’s last Republican Freeholder Director, Joe Condo.

“I’ve had the opportunity to meet with both announced Republican candidates in the First Congressional District and Claire Gustafson is clearly the better choice,” former Camden County Freeholder Director Joe Condo said. “Claire has repeatedly stepped up for the party, held local office and most recently resurrected Camden County’s Republican women organization. She has the skillset needed to take on South Jersey’s political machine.”

Condo joins Greenwich Township Mayor George W. Shivery, Jr., former Magnolia Mayor Joe Adolf and former Stratford Councilman John Dudley in endorsing Claire Gustafson’s candidacy.

“Former Freeholder Director Joe Condo is a remarkable man who’s proven he knows what it takes to win, I am proud and honored to have earned his endorsement,” Claire Gustafson said.

Congratulations State Senator Michael Testa

State Senator Michael Testa

State Senator Michael Testa

Just a short while ago our friend, Michael Testa, was sworn in as the state Senator for LD1. Congratulations Michael!

We get to say, “We knew him when.” Michael served as Bob’s Vice Chairman, the same time period Steve was Cumberland County GOP’s consultant.

Make no mistake, we get to call him our friend. We agree often and on occasion have disagreements – sometimes fierce disagreements. After the disagreements we always come back together, that’s what friends do.

We’ve been critical of him on our radio show – well one of us was – but when push came to shove that criticism stopped and we became fierce defenders and staunch supporters. That’s what friends do!

We were happy to show our support during the campaign and even happier to “pick on” Michael’s opponent and his detractors on the radio show and this blog. The Sound of Silence is a song neither of us want to hear again – ever. We even went after another radio show host on our station in defense of Michael. You defend your friends, even when they don’t ask you to!

Today, we are happy for our friend. You have been promoted from Dapper County Chair to Dapper State Senator. Congratulations state Senator Michael Testa!

PRESS RELEASE: NJGOP Will Fight To Stop Democrats From Rigging Election System

Press Release.jpg

NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt came out swinging at the Democrats attempt to rig the election system. His press release on the matter follows:

Trenton, NJ - NJ Globe has reported that Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin is potentially reintroducing, in lame duck, the Democrat proposal to game New Jersey's election system by rigging the redistricting process.

New Jersey Republican State Committee Chairman Doug Steinhardt issued the following statement:

"Bringing their intraparty street fight for political power full circle, Democratic politicians in Trenton are spitting in the faces of New Jersey's 9 million residents by reintroducing and reconsidering the same rancid, redistricting amendment they pursued last year to rig the legislative reapportionment process and secure for themselves a permanent majority in the legislature. Their desperate power grab is unsurprising, since they had their worst statewide election showing in 28 years. By rewriting the rules and rigging the election system, greedy politicians create legislative districts that take you and your votes for granted."

Their 2018 proposal to rig our state's election system faced broad, unified and diverse opposition from over 50 active organizations.

Steinhardt continued, "If you're reading this, I ask you to join the NJGOP and fight back. Contact your state legislators and tell them that to earn your support, they must support fair elections."
