Somerset Awards Line To Ciattarelli And Singh Threw A Temper Tantrum

I haven’t blogged in a while, mostly because I haven’t felt like it, partly because I was kind of hoping Bob would type something that I would have to heavily edit rather than simply say, “You should write a blog about [insert topic here].” Well, hoping doesn’t work and it is apparent that in New Jersey politics some things never change, so the first blog post in quite some time involves a Hirsh Singh temper tantrum.

Last week Somerset County Republicans awarded the county line to gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli and former candidate for Governor (2017), US Senate (2018), Congress (2018) and US Senate (2020) former beauty pageant winner Hirsh Singh is not happy.

After it was announced Somerset GOP awarded their line to Ciattarelli, Singh went right back to acting like a child who has never been told “no” by his parents. But what else would one expect from a 30-something-year-old guy who still lives with his parents?

Singh headed straight to social media and unleashed one of his infamous tirades about the “establishment.” Never mind that Singh was happy with that same “establishment” when they brokered a deal to get him out of the 2018 Senate primary to keep Bob Hugin from spending money and promised to back Singh for Congress in CD2 instead.

Singh complained on social media that he was “canceled” from addressing the Somerset convention. Singh went on to say he has done one of his favorite things and “sued them in Superior Court to nullify their endorsement until they have a fair election.”

Apparently, Singh did not bother to read Somerset’s by-laws. The organization’s by-laws are easily found on the organization’s website.

Nowhere in Somerset’s by-laws does it say anyone has to be given the opportunity to speak. The by-laws don’t even say how the vote is to be held (Ciattarelli won the virtual convention by acclamation according to New Jersey Globe). Somerset County Republicans acted in accordance with the organization’s by-laws.

Bottom line: Maybe it is time for Hirsh Singh to stop wasting his daddy’s money on runs for office and stupid lawsuits.

The New Jersey Constitutional Republicans (NJCR) have endorsed Jack Ciattarelli for Governor. Following is the statement we received from NJCR founder J.R. Carman:

Jack Ciattarelli met with the New Jersey Constitutional Republicans in 2017 and immediately impressed us with his ability to listen and learn from those he sought to represent as Governor. I have come to know Jack as a fellow admirer of our Party’s greatest leader, Abraham Lincoln, and I am confident in Jack’s ability to be a statesman; exemplifying prudence, practicing moderation, and his dedication to restoring the structure of our State Constitution as the essential vehicle in which to protect each citizen’s natural rights. I represent all New Jersey Constitutional Republicans in proudly supporting Jack and doing all we can to help him be New Jersey’s next Governor. We are confident that Jack has the mind, heart, and soul to bring the citizens of New Jersey together in restoring the appropriate gubernatorial responsibilities of the executive office in New Jersey.
