Bob Menendez Had Breakfast With A Group Of Women

U.S. Senator Bob Menendez had breakfast with a group of 16 women this past Friday and not one single one of them needed help with their visas to come and see their sugar daddy. Maybe that’s why in the photo in the online version of The Jersey Journal’s story about the breakfast the senator has a frown on his face.

Sen. Menendez is going to try to milk Bob Hugin’s Princeton past for all it’s worth. According to the story Menendez said, “My opponent didn't want to have you all join him in a dining club in Princeton.”

Menendez seems to forget he had his own anti-woman history much more recently. Remember, he’s the guy who helped young women get into the country to see their sugar daddy? Menendez’s own lawyers conceded that the senator intervened on Salomen Melgen’s behalf when it came to getting Melgen’s young girlfriends into the country.

It appears Menendez has some bad polling numbers from the beating he’s been taking from Bob Hugin’s ads that highlight the senator’s much more recent past indiscretions.

Now the senator is trying to punch his way out of the corner. He can’t do it with the tried and true “the Republicans want to take away your Medicare” because it was alleged Menendez helped his buddy Dr. Melgen rip off Medicare.

Bob Menendez, who could barely get 60% of the vote against an opponent who spent no money is running scared. He knows he’s in a tough race so he’s throwing nearly 30 year old stuff at his opponent because he has much more recent stuff of his own to worry about. If Hugin can keep Menendez on the ropes we could see something special happen in November.

Breaking: Twitter Shadow Bans Grossman

On his congressional and personal Facebook pages, within the past hour, Seth Grossman posted, “My Twitter account is 'shadow banned'! Without any warning, Twitter blocked anyone not already 'following' me from finding me at @Grossman4NJ. It also blocked me from the newsfeeds of the 4,500 who already following me. Twitter did same thing to dozens of Republican Congressmen. Some are suing. Others are filing complaints with Federal Election Commission. I am waiting for response from Twitter before I decide what to do.”

For fun, I typed “Seth Grossman” in the Twitter search bar and a bunch of Seth Grossmans came up, but not the one running for congress. I also asked someone not following Grossman to type "@Grossman4NJ in the search bar and they report to me the results were auto filled with Jarrod, Cheryl and Jesse, but not the congressional candidate.

I left a message on Grossman’s cell phone at 4:24 seeking comment. If there’s anything more on this, we’ll cover it at the Bob & Steve Show.

Elizabeth Warren Was In Jersey

Elizabeth Warren came to New Jersey last week to raise money for Andy Kim and Tom Malinowski, Democrats running for Congress in CD 3 and 7.

To be honest, I didn’t pay much attention to this because every time Warren speaks all I hear is Charlie Brown’s teacher.

One thing I did notice was NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt released a statement regarding the fact she was here. Not a long statement but he took a punch, maybe a jab, but he did something.

As my political style was once described by an activist, kindly, as “aggressive” and by others as “gutter politics” and at least one state senator referred to me as a “bomb thrower” I like the fact the NJGOP Chairman is willing to throw a punch, or in this case, a jab. It’s been a while since seeing an aggressive NJGOP chair.

When it comes to Elizabeth Warren those of us on the right side of the political spectrum have lots of issues with her, too many to list here. President Trump has a nickname for her.

The president’s nickname for Warren got me thinking. If Elizabeth Warren is a Native-American as she has claimed since the 1980s then why is there a woman, Deb Haaland, in New Mexico running for congress with the press proclaiming she will be the first Native-American woman elected to Congress?

Dictionary.com defines congress as “the national legislative body of the U.S., consisting of the Senate, or upper house, and the House of Representatives, or lower house, as a continuous institution.” That’s the same thing I learned in grade school and on Saturday mornings watching cartoons on TV.

If Elizabeth Warren is telling the truth and is indeed a Native-American does that mean the press is lying about Deb Haaland? Haaland would be the second. Maybe Elizabeth Warren is lying? Then, Haaland would be the first.

The thing is it appears Deb Haaland doesn’t know if Elizabeth Warren is telling the truth, not according to her public statements. If a Native-American like Haaland who actually is a member of a tribe doesn’t know if Warren is honest, who does.

Haaland told the Huffington Post about President Trump’s use of Pocahontas’s name in his taunts directed at Warren, “My point in defending Elizabeth Warren is it’s not up to him. It’s not up to him,” and, “He doesn’t get to decide who is Indian and who is not Indian.”

Either the press has to stop hyping up the possibility of Deb Haaland as the first Native-American woman elected to Congress or find out if Elizabeth Warren has been lying since the 1980s.
